It was reinterpreted and recontextualized for the Lima audience, merging the richness of local cuisine with live entertainment and an aesthetic that transports visitors to the 1960s.

Brief

How can a brand with an established identity in another country feel natural, authentic, and desirable in a new market? We took on this challenge with strategic design capable of translating global concepts into locally relevant experiences, without losing the brand’s original essence.

Challenge

The key was finding the perfect balance between:

  • Coco Bongo’s retro and tropical essence.
  • The expectations of the Lima consumer.
  • A multifunctional space capable of hosting intimate dinners and high-impact shows.

 

Solutions

A spatial narrative was created, where every corner communicates rhythm, flavor, and spectacle, and where the design contributes to the magic of the show without hindering the restaurant’s operations.

  1. Immersive scenic design: We integrated visual and acoustic elements that transport visitors to a sensory experience: warm lighting, tropical textures, and retro graphics.
  2. Space layout: The proposal includes high-table zones, private booths, and flexible areas to adapt to the daytime flow and the needs of the nighttime show.
  3. 1960s aesthetic with a contemporary twist: We designed an environment that celebrates the vintage spirit with modern materials, evoking nostalgia without falling into clichés.

Outcome

A new milestone in the Miraflores scene: Coco Bongo has established itself as a must-visit destination in Lima’s entertainment and dining scene, standing out for its culinary offerings and immersive, culturally connected experience.

Design as a positioning driver: Coco Bongo is a place where design directly contributes to creating brand value, customer recall, and sustained differentiation.
