The project transformed a mansion into a warm and vibrant space with an agile service model, consolidating itself as a replicable concept that connects the functional and the emotional with the community.
Brief
The client sought to add value to Barranco’s culture while also breaking away from the minimalist aesthetic that dominates contemporary cafés.
Challenge
To design a café that preserves the architectural identity of a mansion, achieving a warm atmosphere while differentiating itself through a distinct aesthetic. Additionally, the business model required an agile purchase flow (from the street) and a design that naturally connects indoor and outdoor spaces.
Solutions
We proposed a graphic system based on icons from the Barranco surroundings, incorporating noble materials such as wood, brick, and concrete with a contemporary aesthetic approach. The color palette in vibrant greens and blues gave the space a lively and distinctive character, reinforcing its visual identity.
We designed an operational flow that optimizes both the agile window service and the in-store dwell experience, achieving a coherent, functional space that is emotionally connected to the neighborhood.
Outcome
The mixed service model increased turnover. The project activated an underused space and created a new corner café concept with high expansion potential. Additionally, the integrated design and strategy delivered long-term commercial and emotional value.
